Using Blogging in the Classroom:
A blog can be used in many ways within a classroom setting. It can be an organizational tool which helps students stay up to date with what was covered in class, homework, and upcoming assignments. Here is an example of a blog used by a teacher to help her organize her classroom. A blog can also be used as a writing tool which allows students to respond to course material. For example, after reading a novel in an English class, students could use a blog to write a short book review. Students could build their own blog as a way to write personal responses to any subject (math, history, english, science, whatever!!). Allowing students to use a blog for reflective responses to course material allows students to work in the technological realm where, arguably, many students feel quite comfortable. Furthermore, it allows students to contribute in a more interactive way, as students can comment on each other's blogs.
